Putting an st44 on the front will only help legitimise some peoples over indulgence in them :)

They won't worry about that.

Or encouraging the overuse of Tigers to tank-shock PBI as suggested in the cover pic's background.

At the risk of sounding snarky, why is there going to be a second edition?

To collate the errata and (I was surprised by this) to change some of the problem areas accordingly (listing HE and armoured transports as examples). It's a fine game when played between grown ups, the only bit I have a real issue with is that pins don't count aginst you in HtH, so no suppress and charge bonus.

I'm toying with the idea of having suppression count in HTH. Roll 1d6 per shot, minus suppression, anything higher than 0 hits.

I did like the change for armor so that hits that can't penetrate pins low quality crews and does nothing to high quality crews.

BeneathALeadMountain,
We always play that you have to fight with your "pins" for the 1st round. It's been a while but, say you had 4 pins when attacked. Round One: 4 pins. Round Two: cut in half so, 2 Pins. Round 3, 1 pin. It's ridiculous NOT to count pins when going H2H. Or maybe we cut them in half starting with Round one. I can't remember. All I know is that we definitely keep (some of) them in round one & then begin the half process.

There's talk there will be a Battlefront Flames of War style upgrade if you have the 1st ed. Be interesting to see if they follow through with the talk.

Ceterman – that sounds much more sensible. Bolt Action is a good set of rules that just needs some slight tweaks. Had some really fun games (maybe not as tactical as CoC but really enjoyable) using the .net rules and sensible lists (from 1k up to 4k pts) and they've worked really well.

BALM, My feeling exactly. We have played CrossFire since they came out in 1997 or 98 (my favorite set of rules for any period, CF & TSATF actually) & BA does give a really enjoyable game IMHO.
