"How Many DBA Armies Do You Have?" Topic

Dedicated DBA armies.

Armies that can be used across multiple sub-lists counting as one.

Armies that can do double (or triple, etc) duty as other armies (like many barbarian armies) counting as one.

So, I guess whatever you could field all at once is what counts. By that logic, BBDBA armies DO count as multiples.

I'm making this up as I go along. It's unlikely to be the poorest calibrated poll topic seen yet.

Does this include DBx armies, or strictly DBA? I just rebased some Napoleonics last night (French and Prussian) from NB to DBN.

HOTT – 3

DBA armies are usually just taken from the 'main' armies, though I do have a few DBA and (especially)HoTT armies that don't have 'bigger' brothers.

DBA Armies fully painted, flocked, and ready for action = 37.
DBA Armies in various stages of not fully ready = 50.
DBA Grand Total on hand at the moment = 87.

If there is a long time lag before the poll launches, those numbers are subject to change ^,^

And some DBN, DBA-RRR, and HotT armies….

I would say just DBA, since if this becomes an actual poll, you can't really parse it out. But for the purposes of a pre-poll discussion, go right ahead.

So 34 painted and based with most needing some additional prettification on the bases.

Depending on the options chosen some of the BBDBA armies could use some their extra elements to make a fourth basic 12 element army using a different sub-list – Skythian, Parthian, LIR, Anglo-Norman.

I also have about 24 on the table primed and being painted in various states of completion.

Then there are about a dozen miscellaneous groups of elements picked up on ebay and elsewhere that need a few more added to make armies.

At present 3, soon it will be zero as I've moved on. However in the past I've had 5 at once.

8. I don't play DBX, but my ancient armies could put 8 DBA forces on the table. They could all go to BBDBX so guess that makes for 24?

I have around ten, the Greeks and Hittites and medieval armies enough to do a BBDBA/FOG/DBM army each. In a box I have enough republican Romans to do an 800 pt. FOG army, which is more than enough for BBDBA.

Including all the variations and odd bits? 20 at least. Several box files full anyway.

As I use them to play CnC Ancients instead if DBA you need a fair amount of kit.

None. Played it a few times and never liked it.

I had two painted, one from Essex and another from Corvus Belli. Both sold and gone.
