TMP link link This movie was mentioned a few years ago here on TMP. It is now available for free with English subtitles. It has been one of the top films in Japan. I found the CGI battles very well done. They really made sure the planes were accurate. For example, the P-51s in the later battle are done in the colors of the actual Iwo Jima based 15th FG. The whole Battle of Midway action is really cool. Mark |

Hey Folks, Don't use that link for the free version of the film. I have had my virus protection software go off when on the site. Here is a YouTube link to the fight with the P-51s: YouTube link Thanks, Mark |

Very, VERY good! Well worth watching, and for far more than the excellent CGI. Thoughtful, meaningful film TVAG |

I completely agree with you on the great plot. Apparently even PM Abe has endorsed the film. Although it is not without controversy, some left-wing groups feel that the film glorifies war. I am not sure how they got that from the film. It teaches the value of individual lives. |

Loved the P-51 fight…though I just wonder how he didn't run out of ammo! |
