It's magical so its not heavy at all. The real issue is how do you go to the pub with it? |

It's not magical. He's just that strong. Good not-Guts. Shame the new anime is poorly animated. |

Ok, so this was during the "Golden Age", before he wielded Dragonslayer, but you get the idea. youtu.be/Qacgb2b8LVU And the battle against Zodd the Immortal, the only other being in the Berserk universe to be able to wield a sword of that size. youtu.be/h63YO1cInQM |

Based on Sagara Sanosuke?
It should be noted that Sanosuke focuses on unarmed combat after his sword is broken. |

[quote}Based on Sagara Sanosuke? No, it's actually the other way around. Every edgy anime and Japanese video game protagonist with an unbelievably huge sword tends to be a homage to Berserk. |

There's a anecdote that in 19th century Dumas was travelling across vast Russian spaces and later on published his experience in the book. One of the chapters was covering a famous Russian large-scale Robin Hood type Stepan Razin. Dumas wrote that he was making his judgement, sitting under "spreading klukva" while in fact, klukva is Russian word for сranberry. From this times, "spreading klukva" means smth over the top, with little reference to reality. See what I mean here? ;) |
