I'm specifically talking about their Carolingians and Ottonians. I've read more than a few people online say that Baueda's horses are terrible and replace them with Essex's. What do you think of them? |

I found them to be just fine. They are sculpted differently than Essex of course, but they painted up well. Certainly do the job. Unpainted they might not stand up to to the look of Essex, but painted they look great. |

I think they are at least as nice, but the size difference is noticeable (Baueda on bottom row):

I have a lot of Baueda's Normans. The horses work very well with Baueda riders, and look good on the table. Personal taste will vary from person to person and brand to brand, of course, but I've never felt disappointed by Baueda's offerings. Marco Campagna is one of my favorite sculptors. |

@ Extra Crispy Those Essex horses in your picture are designed for Numidian LC and Ancient British Chariots, so are meant to be ponies, not horses |
