I have been searching for details on the 26eme Leger and all other Leger and Ligne regiments. I was able to find two small pictures of a much larger painting depicting what looks like a field hospital at the Battle of Wagram. The picture looks like a first hand account of the battle and shows both ligne and leger soldiers. I found some details on the 26eme Leger and looking for the whole painting. I have seen the painting once before, but have not been able to find it lately. Any help would be great. Here is a detail of a wounded grenadier [URL=http://s1364.photobucket.com/user/Boomerlc23/media/140709111830737599_zpsmphhhozx.jpg.html]

and detail of 26e Leger carabiner [URL=http://s1364.photobucket.com/user/Boomerlc23/media/26e%20leger%20carabiner%201809_zpssjpsjgfc.png.html]

I suspect you have us foxed. I have searched high and low. Very nice artwork, I particularly like the young woman (it was ever thus and my downfall) in profile.

Where did you find these fragments? It might be a start to further search.

What I have learnt is about Massena's coach and four at Wagram. Now there is a topic for a model, although no data other than four white horses, one postilion and one coachman

Well after typing in every leger regiment from 20-30 plus Wagram as the search word I found out it was 25e Leger at Wagram and here is the full painting.

Nice one. Google let me down. Actually I was too vague with search terms! So that is a 25 in the top picture.

I am not sure if it is Massena's corps or Oudinot division due to all different regiments being together.

This painting has been meticulously described by Pierre-Yves Chauvin in: Soldats Napoléoniens, N° 4, nouvelle série, janvier 2012, pp.26-38. The painter is unknown but according to Chauvin he may be capitaine Harvus of 25e léger, 4e battalion, who seems to have made it not before 1813 (see Chauvin for details):

It's the 2e Corps d'armée, commanded by Oudinot after Lannes's death (Oudinot's division was disbanded when Oudinot took over command of the 2nd Corps).
