For me, the scale creep on D&D pre-paints, has become absurd. In all fairness, it began with the release of the Monstrous Compendium, in 1990, 2nd Ed. rules. The sizes of the monsters, both physically, and their Hit Dice, went up far too much for my liking. All of the Giants got a 4-Hit Dice boost. I could accept that, but the physical size augmentation they received, was too much. It seems that WotC is continuing this process.

That Storm Giant is the size of a Titan, or even larger, per the 1977 Monster Manual. For me, it is absurdly large. I just can't accept it. Nice figure -- beautiful figure, even, but the size?… No. Sorry. Cheers!

I would agree. The figure looks to be one of the Gods rather than a giant that an adventurer or even a party of adventurers would encounter. Maybe they should have thrown in a dragon as well for size comparison.
