My latest batch of ADB books arrived today, which includes a print copy of A Call to Arms: Star Fleet Version 1.2 Deluxe Edition:

There's also a large print edition each of Captain's Log #50 and Captain's Log #51; the CL50 and CL51 Supplemental Files; and the Star Fleet Battles Klingon Master Starship Book.

Does anyone else have have a copy of the new print book yet? And if so, what are your thoughts on it so far?

I don't have a print copy of 1.2, but followed along with the playtesting and took the digital upgrade for those of us who have been on board from the beginning. I like this version far better than the original. We've still made a few tweaks for personal tastes, but the rules as they stand now are far more playable and feel a great deal closer to the original feel of SFB in the way things work.

I recently got a hard copy of 1.2 Deluxe, kind of a mixed reaction. The rules themselves have obviously been thoroughly playtested and finessed and should give good, balanced games. But the book was $30 USD for 100% B&W. All those painting guides and photos of minis seem wasted in this format. Still, I hope they continue to produce new miniatures and supplements, and keep the game alive!
