Can someone tell me who makes these true-25mm Old West minis?
Thanks! |

Those look Old Glory/Westwind to me. |

I believe so as well. West Wind has the matching mounted and dismounted figures as part of their "Cowboy Wars" range. I believe the 3 guys on foot are from OG's "Warpaint" line. |

The guys on foot look like Artizan Designs to me |

Yeah and those are not true 25mm figs. They are 28mm. I own them and have some 25mm figs. |

Right you are. The foot group is Artisan. |

The Westwind mounted & dismounted figures sold by Old Glory are 28mm. |

That sound you heard was me smacking myself in the forehead. Thanks a lot for jogging my memory! You guys are quick! The Artizan figures are left overs from a Pinkertons company I put together for In Her Majesty's Name: the two on the left are from the Lawmen 1 pack and the guy on the right is from the Bat Masterson and Dodge City Marshals pack. The others are in fact from the West Wind Cowboys Wars range on the Old Glory site. I had checked there for them, but must have committed major browsing errors because I somehow missed them! I have both packs of the Pinkertons, #1 and #2 (only one set is shown). And yes, the Artizan are indeed 28mm. I have a high tolerance for different manufacturers' sizes in relationship to each other, but I found that the West Wind figures were too small for my taste to mix with the Artizans, let alone other brands. I'll probably sell 'em on eBay. Thanks again! |

May I humbly disagree kind sir. I own Grenadier and other early Western gunfighter figs from the 80's. They are true 25mm figs. Old Glory are not 25mm. West Wind are not 25mm. Most of these figs run 27-29mm and their heft is medium or larger. Dixon is smaller but I still like and use them. My Gunfighter figs from Jon at the Old Ground Zero Games USA are 25mm. I have about a dozen of them. Old West is a genre I have been collecting and playing since the 70's. I have a few 100 painted figs along with around 30 buildings/structures. I also have several wagons, a couple of trains, The War wagon and various other odds and ends. I really need to post my pics from this years Cincycon. Thanks, John |
