Whether from the Confederation or the Union, the Perry brothers offer us many sets of American Civil War cavalry in 28 mm.

Are you getting a commission Armand?

I have only ever brought the Perry plastic ACW cavalry and used them to make Zulu War British auxiliary cavalry. Great little minis that are easy to convert.

OK I now officially hate these guys. Having just gotten round to painting the plastic Cavalry I've had for ages they bring out metal ones!

You buy plastic infantry they bring out metal. You buy metal infantry they bring out different plastic infantry. You buy metal artillery, they bring out plastic artillery

Well guess what, the appearance of the plastic troopers isn't consistent, being made for both sides but at £2.83 GBP per figure they can shove these.

My question would be if these are as big as the plastic or do they compare more to Foundry and other industry 28m ACW?

The big concern is that SWMBO will want to get more cavalry and that I'll have to paint them.

Those are great looking figures.

These new sets are metal not plastic

Sadly not my friend… (smile)
