I have been sending emails and FB messages to Essex regarding a £200.00 GBP+ order I wanted to place and have shipped to Old Guard painting service in the Ukraine.

I couldn't just do it on their website because it didn't allow post to Ukraine.

After an exchange from them on FB, I have recieved no reply to my emails, and my FB messages appear to be blocked.

So:

1. Has anyone else had problems communicating with Essex? Domthey participate on these boards?

2. Since they don't appear to want my business, Is there someone else I can order Essex products from?

Cheers,
Dave

Its in the Ukraine, so hence wont post there due to the postal problems this country.

What you're doing is asking Essex to take the shipping risk, rather than you taking the shipping risk, to a country with known postal problems. It's hardly surprising they're not interested.

I wouldn't post to the Ukraine again .

I'd like to thank eveyone for not answering the question. Shipping to the Ukraine is not the issue – communicating with Essex is the issue.

1. Essex already informed me that they make regular shipments to Vladimir at Old Guard Painting Service. They specifically wrote in an FB meesage "We will gladly ship to Ukraine – not sure why the site won't allow this. I'll look into it later. Please email us your order info@essexminiatures.co.uk and we'll get started today."

2. It is the lack of any response to my emails to the above-given email address which I find annoying – and was wonderingmif others had the same issue.

3. Does anyone else sell Essex? I'm happy to give my money to someone who actually wants to sell stuff.

Cheers.

Apologies. The fact that Essex said it would gladly ship to Ukraine was not clear from the original post.

Actually, my apologies. The first post was sent late last night while I was in bed, and you are right – I could have been clearer on the shipping issue. And I hope my second post didn't seem cranky – it wasn't meant to be. I was just hoping to find a resource for some figures which I want to finish out a time period, that matches the opposing armies I have.

I'm just really surprised at the utter lack of response from Essex UK. If this were August, I'd understand…

Thank you for the link. Unfortunately, Noble Knight does not carry all the figures I need, and Warpath has become a new company – Golden Distribution – and does not appear to carry Essex anymore.

I am open to contacting Essex distributors in other countries…

Cheers,
Dave

The P&P may kill you, however.

Some hopefully practical questions
Have you checked your spam/junk mail folder in case their reply message was sent there?
How many times have you e-mailed them?
Have you tried phoning them. If you do it via Skype or similar it won't be expensive.

The prices will get you first.

So, it appears that C&B Minis is the new US Essex distributor; There have been some glowing statements about them on TMP, so I placed my order with them. I was delighted that the price per pack was cheaper than buying direct from Essex with the exchange rate. Plus FREE SHIPPING!

So I can then just ship them Vladimir myself…

Glad to hear it's worked out.
