The new Lost Patrol boxed set gives you five scouts, 12 genestealers, and six infestation nests for $60. USD If you ignore the nests, that's still only slightly more than $3 USD a fig. GW's new boxed sets are as close to a sale as you'll get. It's a nice sign: I remember a lot of boxed sets being offered that weren't the same price as buying the figs separately. Why would I do that? But some of the new ones are a better deal, and while most sets may not meet your needs, some are going to win me over (I am, as it turns out, looking for scouts and genestealers.) I think GW is making some better decisions under the new CEO. I'm encouraged. |

Been shopping and comparing and a box of orruk armored orks is $53 USD for 15 or about $3.50 USD a fig. Reaper metals (which I also buy) are about $6 USD each. Just add some space marine backpack bits and bob's your uncle… |
