Absolutely Marvellous! Does anybody still cast Hinton Hunt's wonderful miniatures? |

When I think about wargaming, that is exactly what I think about. Beautiful on every level. |

Just great! I still have a few of my old Hinton Hunt figures – both wargame and 54 MM. Terry |

Great stuff. Always enjoy gaming with one of the"old guard" in miniature lines. Modern 28mm or larger have superb looks… but you need to actually paint the details on the Hunts. vs. the dry brush touch on modern miniature raised detail. For reasons unknown except to the dice gods, my old Hunts regularly whip the larger miniatures on the tabletop. I think their shorter statue gives them the advantage for the upwards bayonet stab… or the taller miniature don't look down. |

I think you have to contact John direct thru AOL to get pricing. Does anyone have pics of the S-range of ECW soldiers? |

my old Hunts regularly whip the larger miniatures on the tabletop. I think their shorter statue gives them the advantage for the upwards bayonet stab Your lucky any of them still have their bayonets – most of mine lost them years ago That photo takes me back to my early years of wargaming – the Prussians in our group always had lots of special (advantageous) rules and 2 regiments of Saxon Curassiers helping them out – the rules were mainly written by the owner of the Prussian army. We didn't really mind because they were painted so beautifully. Doug |

That sounds perfectly reasonable to me, Doug! |

I am unsure how many DK and HH gigs I have. I know mainly they are DK. A buddy of mine worked for Custom Cast back in the 70's and I ended up trading him a bunch of fantasy figs I had for DK figs. I did also buy a decent amount of figs from David Clayton which took a while to get as well. My British Naps army is mainly my DK figs from the 70's along with HH. Somehow I ended up with a Waterloo Box set but am not sure whose figs it contained. I would guess DK. I needed to replace some of the musket barrels where they had snapped off. My French did not have this happen that much. We gamed with the DK in Spain for the most part. I loved it. I have a large amount of Grenadiers in bearskin in a few different poses. No idea what I'll do with them all. I also have a bunch of Prussians. My Landwher Cav are a nice thing to have as nobody else makes any that I know of in plastic so far. Need to strip the paint on a bunch. I have a bunch of Polish foot in the czapska. I tend to use RSM mounted officers. I own too few of DK. Love the figs!!!!!!!! |

Wellington Man – I notice on your blog you refer to Steve C. I'm wondering if by any crazy chance that could be Steve Connolly? Because if it is, he was the owner of the Prussians I referred to above, back in the seventies in the UK. Doug |

Hi Doug, the Steve C I know is not Steve Connolly. |
