Just looking for some feedback from anyone who has used Shogun Miniatures metal bases.

I want to rebase my current 15mm figures as their old bases are starting to warp and curl.

A friend of mine has suggested that I would not be able to rebase directly onto these metal bases and would actually need to use them as backers, not as actual bases. This goes againt what I have previously read, as I am intending to use them to replace my existing bases, not just stick to the bottom.

If you have used these, I would appreciate your input.

Cheers.

What are you currently using for bases? Are you going to take your figures off of their bases or are you planning on just gluing them, base and all, onto new bases?

The big item people buy from Shogun are the metal trays, which have edges on three sides, for them to organize their figures already on traditional bases.

Tom – Currently on a mix of cardboard, .mdf from a variety of sources and plastic.

I want to remove all of them from their current bases and put them all on new bases.

Yogi – Most of my collection is for WW2, WW1 and Modern, cant really use the movement bases, though they look great.

I use them all the time. I also use the movement trays.

I done it both ways, as a base itself or glued to the bottom of a plastic base.

it's a fine product.

Stew – Do you find there are any issues with warping when used by themselves?

Great service and reasonable prices. I can not say enough good things about them. Even custom orders are no problem. Love the magnetic bases and metal flanged movement trays!

Shogun is my only place to go for basing these days. Excellent work, fast turnaround, and exceptional quality compared to other suppliers, in my opinion.

sorry AmongLions, I missed the question.

the answer is NO. I have never seen any warped bases from shogun, it's quite strong metal.
