Cabela's is having a Fathers Day sale on Ruger LCP. MSRP of $299.00 USD USD on special for $199.00 USD USD. This is a great little .380 pocket pistol. I have had one for over a year and swmbo has been campaigning for one so I went ahead and picked up one for her at this price(also got another for the nightstand). If you have a CC permit I would highly recommend this gun. I have put well over 400 rounds through mine without a jam or mis-feed. It is very accurate out to 30-35 feet which is all you need for a personal defense weapon.

Remember, if is better to have a gun and never need it than to need one and not have it.

Disclaimer: I am not connected with either Ruger or Cabela's.

What in heaven's name has this to do with miniature gaming?

Most posts in "utter drivel" aren't directly related to gaming. However, there are many TMPer's that will find this helpful.

If it ain't your cup of tea don't read it.

Thanks for the note, and sharing the info.

That is a very good price.

That's a great price on a reliable pocket pistol.

Did you happen to see if they have hiking socks on sale? That's something I really need.

Also keep in mind that they have a limited number of sale firearms; when they are gone, they are gone. You can also wait for several hours for your background check to go through. Word to the wise.

Have to acknowledge your first two sentences. But this, "If it ain't your cup of tea don't read it.", is kind of hard for me since I'm not clairvoyant. Don't know how it works for everyone else, but I have to read something before coming to a conclusion. :)

My wife could use one of those. Thanks for the info.

The governor of Connecticut has asked all gun shops in CT to not sell handguns on Father's Day in support of those killed in Orlando.

He has also called on Governor's in all the other 49 states to support him in this since "…it is the right thing to do…"

I hope somebody tells the governor of CT that firearms were also used while coming to the aid of the survivors of the attack in Orlando.

My wife loves hers and is only without it when in "gun free zones"- which we both try to stay as far away from as possible.

It seems a bit odd that almost all mass shooting seem to take place in "gun free zones", I guess the bad guys and terrorists don't obey the laws.
