After all the "joys" of painting and building terrain, we got our first Seven Years War Imagi-Nations game played at the club on Lard Island this Tuesday. I shoved a bit of a report on Lard Island News here: toofatlardies.co.uk/blog/?p=5905 Some snaps, as per usual.
I'm flying up to Scotland today for Deep Fried Lard games day tomorrow where I'll be running an Indian Mutiny game, so I will try to get some shots there. Rich |

The results are worth the effort Richard. Gorgeous game. Makes me want to chuck my 15s and go 28mm! |

A very nice battle report. I hope the rules are doing well for you. |

My Seven Years War figures are based (permanently) on stands of six figures. So this means my Groups can only be multiples of six (eg 12 figures in a Group). Will 'Sharp Practice 2' work with this, as I see the normal size Group is 8 figures, which my basing of course can't do?

Arteis02, Groups of 6 figures will tend to be more fragile than Groups of 8 since groups start to withdraw when shock exceeds the number of figures and break when it reaches double. Groups of 12 regulars could be too robust in contrast. However, you could simply allocate a "strength point" total of 8 to your preferred group size and track shock and casualties against that. They are great rules and well worth trying. |
