Just to make HMGS look good in comparison, it took me 45 minutes yesterday at Origins to get my badge, even though I pre-registered. Others waited even longer.

You would think, after 20 years of Origins in Columbus that they would have this figured out by now…

The computers did go down in the morning, but I got there just before 3 in the afternoon.

Intel from my friend who is there; line started at 7am yesterday, was at least a 60 min wait till mid afternoon. Board game room was closed most of morning to allow companies who have booths in there to set up.

Because of construction in Convention center, Food Court has few tables, food being served 'to go'. He said he's not sure where the miniatures area is…..

Sorry to hear about your long wait.

As far as HMGS conventions are concerned, I always pre-register. It never takes me longer than 60 seconds to pick up my badge, and that includes time spent saying hello to the volunteers working the registration desk.

I know that not everyone is able to pre-register, sometimes because they do not know if they can make a convention, but those who can should take advantage of the opportunity.

Enjoy the games.

Made it,if only for Saturday. Waited close to an hour in line to register, then bought some generics, found my game, went to lunch, came back to play, and bought some Team Yankee vehicles from the Battlefront Miniatures crew. All around,a reasonably good day.

Took me about 5 minutes Friday morning.
