Somehow my blog has ended up on some auto generated sites.

I used to have 1000-2500 views a month now i have 26 000…

So i have no idea how many actually visit it anymore.

Does seem it's the main page that has been hit the hardest. But still on average my post got some 100-200 more views then normal. And some of my older post now get more views per week then my most recent ones.

I'd sign up for some advertising, you may actually make some money out of it.

Happens occasionally. Put the old blogposts that cause the problem back in draftmode for some time.

Btw, why would it matter if you get more non-wargaming views? It's not really a problem for the true wargaming visitors. Or are you obsessed by visitor statistics?

As long as you do not get spam comments, it's not that big an issue, is it?

I like to have some idea about the traffic on my blog, that's impossible now.

And it's my main page that gets the views. Not a blog post I can deactivate.

It's not just you, I think. I'm also seeing a lot of traffic from "bait" sites in the last couple of months or so. I just try to ignore it, though I will admit that it annoys me somewhat…

Stats and traffic sources can still give you a good idea of actual 'real' hits. Don't click on the offending sources though as it will probably encourage the bots.
