I always thought they were white, pink, and brown?

ferg98111 Jun 2016 2:58 a.m. PST

I think post 1811 they all wore white with a variety of facings

Before 1811 they have all sorts of colours I think

I'm not an expert by any means but the links above seem to confirm this

**edit** oh you mean the ice-cream. Ha. I had a flat mate who always used to get tubs of Neapolitan Ice Cream and then just eat the chocolate. When we had about 14 boxes of vanilla and strawberry left in the freezer I just asked why didn't he just buy chocolate ice-cream. His response? "Oh yeah, I didn't think of that"

Great link, thanks.

I'm always looking for uniform links to Napoleon's allies in Russia 1813, it's an on going project.

The link is brilliant. It is far more than just the Naples contingent. Basically includes copies of a long defunct UK magazine that I thought brilliant. Clearly no one else did. I still have copies in my attic plus some pages torn out of mags that went to the tip eventually

One day i will do some. Bro did the negro grenadiers from the Blandford 1812 book, so i will always have a soft spot for them.

Good find

Yup! Some of those articles are from the early editions of that excellent magazine Military Illustrated, Probably the best magazine of its type in the English language.

Paul :)
