Lovely Mary and General Pettygree are aboard a train from Bombay to Delhi. He has orders to return to The Imperial Field Force after a six month stay in hospital. On September 9, 1904 the train stopped at Ramanujam to replenish water for the locomotive. What happened next is here: link The story advances by my usual briefly captioned photos.
