A quick report on the historical miniatures gaming recently held at Strategicon – GAMEX convention in Los Angeles Hilton near LAX. Convention had over 2,000 paid attendance for miniatures, RPG, boardgames, 40k, computer team gaming etc. A small group of historical gamers carved out their space in the well lit convention miniatures hall. Should note that California had two major gaming conventions on the same recent Memorial Day holiday weekend. KublaCon in the Bay area and Strategicon – Gamex south in Los Angeles. I had a lot of fun playing in the 20mm Flames of War game you hosted. It's fun seeing your pictures of the other games. I wish I could've played in all of them, and was glad to jump in to that Gettysburg game for a couple hours. I look forward to the next Strategicon, for sure! Glad you posted those pictures… reminded me of a great con! |

Most likely another convention FOW 20mm event in September. Salerno 1943 scenario in planning. Larger table and Germans attacking this time. Then the grand daddy Battle of the Pyramids 1798 for 12 x 6 napoleonics. Lots of Ottoman Mameluke cavalry and French divisional squares. Glad you had fun HS with the FOW 20mm Valmontone 1944 scenario. … and seeing you on TMP. M aka WR |
