Alan and I did a small Operation Ke warm up game
Based on the 12/23/42 USAAF raid on Munda air field. The original had 5 B17s, escorted by 5 P39Ds, 4 P38Fs. The Japanese were already stirred up by the USMC attack a few minutes earlier. At least 15 Zekes managed to get up to the USAAF planes.
We were short players so I cut it to just a 4 plane P39 element and 3 Zeros and 3 B17s. It was a pretty bloody affair even then. Check Your 6 rules and 1/300 minis at Gigabites Café in Marietta GA if you're in the area.
