How messy is your hobby painting area/workbench?

I try to keep it clean, but scratch-building can sometimes turn it in to a right state.

Pretty messy at the moment. Got 100 figures that had sat there for over a year finally finished with some help from my friend.

Still, I need to clean up the area.

Same for me as reported by all the above! Disaster area! I am sure I would do better painting if I made more room by putting more things away!……..

I had a work bench but I havn't seen it for years.

Mostly tidy

My idea of a 'tidy' and 'well organised' workspace differ profoundly from what others seem to think is described by those words.

It isn't dirty (except for the paint splashes and lumps of congealed glue and filler) – I avoid getting dust on figures mostly by storing even part finished figures in boxes when I'm not working on them.

Not very messy if you mean paint spills and such. Cluttered with all manner of ongoing projects on the other hand….

It depends.

Surprisingly neat and tidy at present. The granddaughter has been using it and tidying up. That won't last long but hopefully she'll paint a few minies of mine while she's at it.

Generally pretty tidy. My daily work is at the same desk so often tidy everything away, not that there's that much in the first place to tidy away. I much prefer working in a clean, light and tidy environment. Mess = stress.

I have a 2' x 4' desk and an 8" x 6" work space… the rest is paints, basing stuff, clutter, projects, household repair jobs, more clutter, etc

Clear….has to be….just move the projects through…..

Clear here too. I work on prepping multiple projects at the same time so it has to be neat and organized.

I had to clear it from other junk to make room to paint. It's in a afternoon window and am liking the sunlight.

Ha ha ha! My Man Divot is a picture of hording on a 2'x 2.5' space! Only the strong survive!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh…. as messy as it could possibly be. I might have misplaced a children under the heap. If so… it is long gone.

Organized Disaster

Pretty messy right now. I'm not one to resist taking the time to make sense of it, but it will have to wait a couple of weeks until school is out.

After I finish getting it unburied, I'll let you know.

Fairly organized. Two boxes of paints, a jar with brushes, water box, box to hold/mix paint in use, mini's being painted.

Both of them are a mess (one for painting and one for terrain/mounting figs).

A clean workbench is the sign of a sick mind!

I can't leave mine up. So clear when I'm not working and probably a few things too many when I am.

It has the thing I'm working on on top – the desk is closed up when not in use to conceal all the paints/tools etc.
There's only ever one thing being worked on, and that's the only thing on the desk; it doesn't get put away till it's finished. That's the only way to make sure stuff does get finished.

Right now it is very tidy

That is only because the Little Prince and I tidied it up last night- put away 40 paints into the right drawers, replaced all the paper covering the workspace, tossed out the garbage, organized the figs

Somewhere underneath all my stuff, I think there is a table. Organizing and cleaning my workspace has been on my to-do list for a while.

I need a good paint organizer. Any suggestions?
