Just for fun
Are there any old figures that are sought after or rare, worth money, valuable or the like. I remember that at one time Old Mythril figures were selling big. Just wondering

Many of the old Citadel/GW figures can go for quite a bit.

And some of the limited release GW Warmaster figures sell for ridiculous prices. I've sold single Warmaster blister packs for over $100 USD, that retailed for $15. USD

Mithril M16 Female Ranger is the Holy Grail for collectors. The mold was damaged during production so not many went out. She'll sell for $500 USD or more on Ebay.

Late Martian Metals lines. While the Chitin line never went into production before the production facility burned, the Car Wars and Rivets lines did, but weren't produced for long.

Rare but not all that sought would be most of the lines produced by Cell, several of which were sold as metal CMGs, essentially. Krash, Lab, and a 54mm fantasy line called Hybrid were all "collectable", while the 1999 and Ronin lines weren't. All vanished quickly when Cell's business model proved fatal, and none have resurfaced.

The old monolith Hellboy sculpts are really rare and the sought after. Especially the actual Hellboy figure since it is so much better than any other sculpt out there. Regularly shows up on e-bay for well over $100. USD

For a while the Devil Dog Designs figs were in this category but with many more modern lines coming out I think the market for them has relaxed quite a bit.

The Reaper Doom miniatures sell for a pretty good price. The set they sold at Quakecon sell for a grand and certain individual miniatures go for $150 USD+

There's a small community of Peter Laing connoisseurs who'll pay good prices for these miniature abominations.

I sold some old MiniFigs 1stE AD&D-licensed stuff a while back, and the sets of demons based on Monster Manual art sold for a good sum. Also anything from the Four Winds range (skeletons, esp. the bell tower set) seems to be sought after.

I'm eventually going to get some more fantasy and historical antiques from Heritage, Grenadier, Garrison, Dragon Tooth, Archive, Ral Partha, etc. organized and up on eBay and will see how these go. The Ayatollah Khomeini figure from Archive, 1979, might be a true collectible now. He was put out at the height of the Iranian hostage crisis when anti-Iran feeling was at its height.
