I don't think they do anything for me.

Too blobby, those are at that point where you might as well use colorful counters with appropriate frontages.

At 2mm, they may as well be Orcs.

Not something that I would do (I am just over a year into my three year (estimated) 15mm FPW project), but I think that the 2mm figures look ok. If you have limits on your space, time or budget, then why not? A battalion or regimental level set up for Gravelotte St Privat or Sedan would look pretty spectacular and it would be a lot easier to get the terrain right.

I love 2mm gaming and these are great.
I am working on the same project as well, but classes are about to take up my time instead.

The only way I finally got into the WSS was in 2mm. Much easier to paint what passed for "uniforms" in that scale.

Personally I think they look better with multiple blocks per base, as you can use different formations etc to differentiate troop types.

Well I like this I I do the FPW in 28mm.

I agree with Martin. There is just too much "base" for their size. Look how silly it will look placing infantry in that great looking town base!

Might as well us cardboard counters.

Jamesonsafari05 Jun 2016 7:46 a.m. PST

Look surprisingly good
And 5 CD boxes to store both armies beats hell out of my plastic yotes

Those look great. Reminds me of a painting, seeing all the battalions deployed. Thanks for sharing.

Why is it that some people feel compelled to criticize smaller/other scales? How would those of you who do so feel if people went into threads discussing your preferred scale and started whining and moaning about how ugly and unrealistic the figures are (and the figures in your preferred scale ARE very likely unrealistically proportioned, and your groundscale is hugely distorted, etc)?

If you don't like them, that's your prerogative. But if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything.

They don't look good as single bases, but if the terrain is done well I'd guess the whole battle will look quite good.

Well at least noone has mentioned grains of rice yet:)

I really like 2mm stuff, but it can be a bit fiddly to manipulate for those of us with big fat fingers, which is partly why I base multiple blocks instead of singles.

2mm is a bit big and clumsy. We need figures sculpted by Willard Wigan:

But seriously: I really like Ronan's armies, I think they give a good mass effect, and assuming his terrain matches his troops then his battles should look great.
