Looks good. Minor scenario beefs: Spanish cavalry in the Peninsula should never, ever be elite. They were poorly mounted. Some of The Spanish infantry at Albuera was quite good – note Zayas' Walloon Guards. His troops fought off superior numbers of French for two hours before retiring on orders through the relieving British infantry. |

I agree totally about the Spanish Cavalry. Since it was historically difficult (although they fought well at Albuera) to predict how the Spanish would fight on the day of a battle, I introduce a random rating for the Spanish. When they were engaged the Spanish player rolls a d6. On a 1-3 they are untested, 4-5 seasoned and 6 elite. This added some fun to the game. Although the Cavalry ended up as elite, they actually lost their first encounter withe the French Cavalry and were forced to retire and seemed unable to re-enter the fray. John |
