What would be the the correct color for World War 1 British Desert uniforms? I am looking for the Vallejo equivalent?

Try Vallejo Iraqi Sand.

Or depending on the climate, your minis might also be wearing parts of the khaki serge uniform, as well as the khaki drill. For khaki serge, I suppose you could start with Vallejo English Uniform and/or Brown Violet. Khaki serge is one of those funky uniforms that appears olive green or olive brown in different lights.
