The Prince of Dorne once again sits the Iron Throne!

After four rounds of D3H2 Big Battle (a variation of DBA 3.0), Thomas E. Thomas lead the Dornish to victory over the Iron Born (who returned to defend the Iron Throne from their victory at Siege of Augusta), the Lannisters, Starks, Wildlings and Baratheons.

Thomas had won the throne before but had lost it at last year's DragonCon and saw the Greyjoys seize it at Siege of Augusta. For now though the Martels – surrounded by Sand Snakes – sit the throne.

The Martels headed by the Red Viper through diplomacy and war managed to outlast or out maneuver many rivals. Battles took Tywin Lannister, Stannis Baratheon and the Young Wolf early on forcing these great houses to call forth new leaders. The Starks went through so many characters that Catelyn Stark ended up commanding the army in the last battle.

A great evening of Mead fueled gaming with a great group of gamers. In no particular order:

Thomas E. Thomas
Walt Harris
Chris Greene
Kelly Timmerman
Drew Gaddy
Daniel McCray.

Only the first of course still has his head…

The Iron Throne will be once again up for grabs at Historicon in July and then again at DragonCon in September. As always bring any Ice and Fire themed 25mm army mounted for DBX or borrow one of mine and you too could sit the throne.

Thomas J. Thomas

Should have mentioned that the event was at NashCon and used a variant of the High King tournament Big Battle system.

Again thanks to all who played and yes I will hold slots open to those who have already requested for DragonCon.
