I'm working on my American Armored Rifle company and American Tank company using Blood, Guts and Glory lists. I see I can take a single 105 mm Sherman to actually save some points and the 105 is listed as a Break through Gun but I cannot find the rules for this weapon in the basic rule book or the supplement. Can anyone give me page numbers and also discuss the pros and cons of taking this single tank?

Thanks

Page 100: "No saves from big guns"

Some weapons are just so powerful that there is no chance of surviving a hit from them. These heavy guns are often mounted in tanks and self-propelled guns designed to break through enemy defensive lines.

Infantry teams, Gun teams, and Unarmoured vehicles automatically fail their Saves when hit by a Breakthrough Gun or a Bunker Buster. This does not apply to Artillery Bombardments.

The advantage of taking this type of gun in a list helps get rid of infantry that are dug in. That means they don't get their 3+ save but you have to pass a firepower test in most cases (except when they are caught out in the open while moving for example).

Thanks Farkon, that does sound worth taking then. My list for an upcoming late war league (1420 points) is an American Tank Company and along with including the tank HQ and two platoons (one of the tanks being the 105) I will have a full Armormed Rifle Platoon and a single section of M7 Priests which also have the Break Through Gun rule. So that should help to dig out stubborn infantry since I most likely will be on the attack in many of my games.
