With just over 10 weeks to go, we're pleased to be able to report that tickets for Britcon 2016 are flying off the shelves (erm..?) at an unprecedented rate, with competition entries running almost 70% ahead of last year so far (107 vs 64)! With a host of new periods and themes on offer, including a record-breaking 7 (yes, seven!) different Ancient & Medieval gaming competitions, plus all of the regular favourites this year's Britcon is shaping up to be our biggest so far this decade! Over the next few weeks you'll also see regular posts on our Facebook page listing all of the traders who will be taking part in the Britcon Trade show, and highlights of some of the massive demo games that we will be hosting as well. Periods which will be on offer at Britcon this year include a host of NEW events! Blucher Napoleonic 6mm (New Period for Britcon after it's successful introduction at Roll Call 2016) DBA (New Period for Britcon – one-day event, Saturday only) L'Art del la Guerre 15mm (New 8-game period at Britcon for this internationally-popular Ancients set!) Mortem et Gloriam (First public event for this new ruleset due to be published in July!) We also have our regular favourites: Bolt Action 25mm – supported by Warlord Games DBMM 15mm Epic Armageddon Field of Glory: Ancients & Medieval 15mm – 2 separate pools Field of Glory: Renaissance 15mm Flames of War 15mm Guildball (32-player 2-day event supported by Steamforged Games) Saga 25mm - The Northern Melee Warhammer 40k Spaces at all events are still available for booking via the booking site:

Last time I attended, I thought it was a normal game show and so stopped to chat on tables that interested me. This clearly upset some people and I didn't realise until later that tournaments were being played and some of them resent being interrupted. As a punter, it would have been better that I understood this at the start of the show and perhaps been aware of which tables were actually tournament tables. I would also acknowledge that one team were playing Saga and they were superb with me. Just some feedback from an easily confused attendee.
