I couldn't find any figures that I liked. The BF ones lacked detail and Peter Pig's SS range was quite limited. But I do like his LW German range. So armed with a 26 Blade in my scalpel, a pack of white fine milliput, a drill and some patience I thought about converting these up. I have started to add in some of the DAK figures as well as they are in caps and mix in well. I have added in one of two figures from my existing pile as well but they do look small compared to the later PP sculpts.
I trimmed off the should straps and lower pockets with the scalpel. The upper uniform detail was then scratched off, with a file and the scalpel and then a small piece of milliput was smoothed onto the figure. Helmets were a blob of milliput shaped over a couple of hours.
First platoon completed (to my 90% standard anyway, a couple of bits to finish when I get time)
