Dear All,

Can I get some opinion or reviews on the spate of Jutland books coming out for the centennial please?

I don't mean the classics from Arthur Marder, Geoffery Bennet, Gordon et al, I mean the following that have appeared on my wishlist:

Jutland 1916 by Angus Konstam
Skagerrak by Gary Staff
The Battle of Jutland by John Brooks

Looking forward to your thoughts!

You can also consider:

Jutland: The Unfinished Battle: A Personal History of a Naval Controversy by Nick Jellicoe

I show the first two as not out yet ( in the States at least)

Just from the author's name, I would be inclined to suggest Angus Kostam's Jutland: 1916. I don't know anything about the others.

Jim, Angus, as far as. I know, is part Viking and part Germanic as well as being ex RN. Apart from that he's an experienced wargamer.

Anyway I would read as many books on Jutland as possible.
