News today said Russia is asking for a truce in Syria after the attacks on the coastal cities. Looks like now that they've been burnt their resolve isn't so strong.

I haven't yet seen any news about if this base was garrisoned by Russians or it's only Russian equipment being used by Syrian army detachments. That might have some factor in this. Also not seen any casualty reports.

I'm sure ISIS will grant a truce as soon as Russia converts to Islam and becomes part of the caliphate.
