Not impressed, replaying one round at a static close range target using different camera angles isn't "getting real" by any stretch of the imagination.

Someone may want to point out I was able to see it in the red through violet spectrum as well.

This is a regurgitated, propaganda-laden article, that first came out last year.

So far, none of the only 100 production run T-14s actually ordered, have been delivered. There are no plans (budget) to build any same chassis family vehicles yet.

As this tank is clearly a Potemkin village, why even bother reacting? There isn't anything here, is there?

Yawn. We went through all this when the T-72 and the T-80 came out, and it turned out they weren't as great as their makers made out.

If they shipped a couple to Syria for 'combat testing' then it would be interesting………

Not that they yet exist, but what point would T-14s make if they were sent to gun a few village buildings in Syria?

Pointless to test in Syria unless they were put into company level (at least) fighting against modern Western armor.

I'd disagree. Any major design flaws (i.e. the T-72 ammunition carousel being prone to explosively ejecting the turret) could be identified prior to full series production.

Sometimes all the design work in the world is not enough, and you actually need to build and use the thing.

Agree with that, but trials don't need to happen in combat, especially against targets/opponents that the tank is not designed to fight.

T-14s have been in trials for years now.

If the existing 20 prototype T-14s were sent to Syria and attacked starving rebels in Aleppo, I'm sure that reports would show them "successful in combat"… but what lessons would apply towards potential future battles vs NATO combined arms?
