I thought of this that might be a valuable and viable thing for Huzzah, as I am now going up there and when I move to Maine it will be "my" convention.

The convention is held at the DoubleTree Hotel. Literally right across the street is the very Large "Maine Mall." It might be profitable as far as spreading interest, outreach, and evangelizing to the general public to put on a flashy-splashy big game in the commons of the mall, showing off the hobby, with posters that say in effect, "If you're interested, RIGHT NOW, across the street at the Double Tree Huzzah is going on with lots of other games like this, and with dealers and books and so forth." It would get a lot of foot traffic on Friday and Saturday in the key demographic of teens and twenty somethings, and of course the kids. Let the kids play a few turns, roll some dice, make a few decisions and play general. It would be the best free advertising you could get and it would draw them IMMEDIATELY across the street which would boost attendance and the take at the gate.

You could do this ANYWHERE where there was a large mall (strip malls have no common areas inside so it wouldn't work there). The Mall would have to be fairly close, and you probably could get the Mall management to go along with it at nominal cost if any. I'm thinking of trying this at my own "The Weekend Convention" in Lancaster but the problem is I don't think there are any large malls with interior walks, just outlet stores and strip malls.
