I finished the Conquest (Warlord) Last of the Mohicans up, except for basing, as well as OG's Fort Ripley Block House. I also got to use them this past weekend in a few games. link link link link link link More at link and link |

Were there no pallisades round the blockhouses ? Did they stand alone ? In any case, nice work. |

The palisades are in the "to-do box." Too much stuff on my plate all at one I'm afraid. |

Really nice collection. The block house looks great. |

BeliganRay -- not all blockhouses had walls or palisades. Many were more of a fortified cabin. |

The blockhouse at Ft. Duquesne / Pitt didn't have palisades if I recall correctly. It didn't have a door either. You entered it through a tunnel from the main fort. |

Thanks guys. I have a blockouse from Redoubt, and a very nice one at that, but it has been sitting around for a decade now since I was waiting to get a palisade wich never came. So you can imagine I'm happy to learn that a palisade was not allways needed. I can get to finish this long overdue painting job. "Many were more of a fortified cabin" plus the remark of surdu2005 are very convincing. Thank you guys. |
