I have begun to paint my way through the mountain of 38mm Lace Wars figures that I have. I intend to build forces for all of the colonial powers in the Caribbean circa 1710 So far I have a Spanish militia unit link And a Spanish line unit link These can garrison my Spanish colonial outpost and will eventually be the standing force in my model of the Castillo de San Marcos |

They are Wargames Factory, the only problem I have with them is resisting the urge to customize the pose of each one…..I love plastics for the ease of modifying the models |

And the British have arrived link I'm working on a battalion of Spanish Troops and a battalion of "Morenos", African or mixed blood militia. It seems that the Spanish offered freedom and land to slaves running south from the British colonies. |

I got hijacked by the Rhodesian Air Force for a couple of days but broke free and got back to work. And now I have added the Spanish Regulars link Does anybody know of a period unit that wore brown or green and may have served in the New World? |
