I am starting a project of putting my 28mm Perry ACW battle in a Box together, with a view to getting a 28mm game onto a smallish table.

I will be doing a number of posts that will look at the Perry box from a 'starter set' perspective, so using the Perry rules and looking at painting times etc.

The first blog post can be found HERE.

I absolutely love the Firepower Rules. The older I get the more I like simpler rules. That said, I think Firepower does a great job incorporating the garbled communications inherent in 19th century warfare by making you roll for distance when it comes to movement. It simplifies what Black Powder does with a similar result. Thanks for the post.

Just curious…. Can these rules be ordered or do I need to purchase the Acw set to procure them? Thanks!

I got them with the box. Don't know if you get them separately.

You can have my set?

If leobarron2000 doesn't want the Firepower rulebook, I'll buy them off you. Please contact me at or PM me.

Sorry, I meant GoodOldRebel. Are you willing to sell your set of Firepower rules?
