Cheers all. @pepemari47 – the flag is a Mavericks Models linen flag. I have never used them before so was not completely sure what type of glue to use. Went with watered down pva which seems to have done the trick. |

Magnificent! May they fight as well as they look. Now I am not sure if that is a compliment or not :-) |

Looking good Brian! It looks like you have painted your trumpeter in reversed colours and I don't think that is correct. Some Spanish sources do talk about "reversed" but this is now assumed to mean that the coat and turnback colours were reversed with the facing colours remaining unchanged. Thus your regiment's trumpeter should have a red coat with dark blue turnbacks. Facing would remain unchanged: sky blue lapels and cuffs and red collar. A picture of Rgto. Montesa with white lapels…
The same would even apply to the Dragoon trumpeter who should have a red coat with yellow turnbacks and appropriate facing colours. Hussar trumpeters reversed the colours of their dolman and pelisse. |

Yes I have since learned that the trumpeter is wrong but as I said in the blog post – I couldn't be fagged changing it. Perhaps I will for the next line cavalry regiment :) |
