Saw this on Heroics and Ros website;

News

As many of you may know I have been suffering from ill health over the last few months but have kept Heroics & Ros going with help from family and friends. I am due to have surgery on the 27th May 2016 which should fix me! The estimated recovery time according to my surgeon is 4-6 weeks so I have decided to shut Heroics and Ros completely on 26th May until 1st July 2016 to allow me to concentrate on my recovery and not put any extra strain on my family.

Shop update

No orders will be taken during this period. Heroics and Ros will re-commence trading on 1st July 2016 .

July will also see the release of the first of our new models some of you may have heard about.

My apologies for any inconvenience this will cause and I hope you can be understanding but my health and family are my priority and I feel doing things this way I can ensure Heroics & Ros can provide the type of service I want on my return without risking my recovery, trying to do both will just comprise them both.

Kind Regards.

Andy and family

All the best to Andy, and I wish him a swift recovery.
Greg

Hi All
I just wanted to say a big thank you for all the positive posts here and emails I have received. I was worried about creating a negative feel towards the company by closing it but you have all proved what a good bunch of people wargamers are. I have had not one negative comment only positive ones and great support. The operation went well and I am now on the road to recovery.
I look forward to reopening the company and showing off some of our new models.

Kind Regards.
Andy and family

Great news.

I think you did the right thing by communicating.
If people understand what's going on they're much more likely to be understanding.
Sympathetic even.

DaleWill Supporting Member of TMP29 May 2016 1:27 p.m. PST

Good news Andy. I wish more companies would just come out and 'tell the truth!' Negative reactions come from lack of communications. Besides, it gives me more time to add to my order!

Glad to hear that the operation went well, and hope the road to recovery runs smoothly.
Looking forward to seeing the new models and putting an order in.

Terry3707 Jun 2016 2:50 p.m. PST

Wonderful news and glad everything went well. One thing I've learned is not to push your self after an operation and let the docs guide you on taking eh right amount of time. So no to worry until you feel up to it and ready.

Terry

Fatman14 Jun 2016 8:32 p.m. PST

Glad to hear it went well, remember not to rush getting back until you are fully recovered. I'm sure we can all wait a while longer to point out the models "you obviously have to have in your range.".

Hi Everyone
Just to confirm we will open the web shop on Monday 4th July.
The pound hasn't made a dramtic recover so feel free to take advantage of the exchange rate.
I am still not 100% but well on the road but please be patient with any delays in shipping I am hoping we can stick to our 10 day turn around on order but that depends on the work load and how I feel.
Thanks again for all the support
Andy

Elenderil02 Jul 2016 6:53 a.m. PST

I will be making an order next week then. Good to hear you are on the road to recovery Andy take it steady and don't do too much health comes first.

DaleWill Supporting Member of TMP02 Jul 2016 8:58 a.m. PST

Andy:
Great news. I have a large napoleonic order just waiting for you. I remember when I had surgery back in 2010 I was back to work in 2 weeks but probably took me 9 month to feel completely recovered. I know I'll wait. Just glad to have you back.
Dale

Greg G103 Jul 2016 8:45 a.m. PST

Just did my part and placed an order with H&R. Even with worldwide shipping cost it was still cheaper to order from Andy in England then place an order with a US distributor. (For now)

Terry3704 Jul 2016 9:52 a.m. PST

Andy, Glad to hear you're back! Take it slowly and don't over do.
