These two rulesets are the favorites among TMP fans of Great War aviation. Which do you prefer? |

Played Wings of Glory for 6 years. Never heard of the other set. |

Of those two, WoG. But, Canvas Eagles/Blue Max more than either of them. |

WoG. Are we allowed to say that in todays PC society? |

Never played Aerodrome, have dabbled in Wings of Glory for many years. My go-to set is Duel Of Aces from the Wings At War series from Tumbling Dice though. |

Other than weak editing of the maneuver action references I like Air War 1918. |

I have a large amount of Aerodrome planes and cockpits available. Any takers? Will supply pictures if interested. Greg |

I've played both. Aerodrome is more impressive with its 1:72 models and control panels, but WoG, with its 1:144 models is more portable. Blue Max is even more so with its 2" counters. it all depends on how you ride. |

I think this is a difficult question because Aerodrome is available in the US but not in Europe as far as I know, hence the obvious reactions as from David Manley. |

Spot on – I've heard of Aerodrome, but never seen a copy this side of the pond. Blue Max / Canvas Eagles is probably the nearest thing to a go-to alternative to Wings Of Glory over here, along with Air War 1918 (if Toofatlardies' Algernon Pulls It Off was still available it'd probably be in the mix too), but I suspect Wings Of Glory outweighs every other set put together…. |

I don't mind tracking info on paper, but I don't really care for the Aerodrome cockpits. Much prefer Wings of Glory, though I'd play Blue Max/Canvas Eagles and also Blue Sky, Wood and Canvas (an unofficial variant of the Blue Sky system). |

Wings of glory, A good replacement for my old copies of Richtofens War and Dawn Patrol. |

Canvas Eagles is a good set of rules. WoG is fun too, in a more beer and pretzels way. Can't comment on Aerodrome. |

Play Wings of Glory, thought Aerodrome was the forum for WoG. |

Wings of Glory. I understand that a WWI set based on Check Your 6! is currently in development/playtesting. I'm looking forward to this! |

I like Red Baron best of all, and use WoG planes to play it. But to actually find opponents, I nave to go with WoG. |

I personally prefer Wings of Glory, however, my nephew has played several games of Aerodrome at conventions and even won a tournament once. The cockpits are beautiful and the 1/72nd scale models are impressive. They both have their strong points. Whatever lifts your wings! |

Wings of War. I've seen, but never played Aerodrome. It appears to be a more man vs machine fight, which is a cool thing when you are in that mood. I would like to play it. For the Aerodrome aficionados, does it have nomograms? It looks like a good game that could use nomograms. I love nomograms! |
