I can't stand facing Italians. Their platoons are large, and they can attach all kinds of stuff to them. And of course my opponents always roll up Confident Veteran for them. Of course they are usually defending on the scenario and start dug in, while I have a British Motorized Rifle Company with tiny platoons. Oh? I get a Boys anti tank rifle to dig them out? Life is unfair. |

I hate the late war US artillery park. Worse than fortified companies to play -- it's just boring. |

late war us Inf. with Artillery is no fun for me to fight. |

The skill part (real world, not gamesmanship, though that applies too, I suppose,) was critical in knowing when, where, and how to fight a particular foe. Sometimes there was no easy answer (surrender, withdraw, spoiling attack,) for a particular situation. Min-Max is endemic to any rules set where multiple technology or training changes happen in the war/campaign. |

I love my Soviet Infantry! I hate playing against silly army lists – you know, three cats, a minefield and Tinky Winky. That's why I stopped playing pick up games and only do scenarios now. |

I'd have to say the mid war Germans, around here that means Tigers with the rapid fire skill 100% of the time. |

Winston, I have a similar experience facing my own Romanians in my solo games. Veterans everywhere, at the cost of nothing, almost never failing to "dig in" and start shooting up my poor Soviets. |

Panthers are the worst. Quite possibly the most unoriginal, thoughtless force to play against. Sure my LW Soviets will roll right over them, but I still think less of you as a player for trying to take the easy way out with all Panthers. |

Strelk blobs and anything fortified. Hates them, Precious! |

Brit Motorized Rifle Companies. Too easy and boring. |

Most hated opponent army . . . probably also US artillery battalion. @maverick A panther company is historically typical, and practically impossible to win with in LW. It is the very opposite of the easy way out. It is nearly guaranteed losses for the sake of the fluff. Your Soviets can always beat them; imagine what Easy Eights, Fireflies, and Western artillery do to them. @ubercommando Any advice? My Grenadiers w StuGs get rolled every time. |

If you have a least favorite, doesn't that just mean something is screwy with the points system that needs fixing rather than their is something fundamentally wrong with the force? Particularly if the force in question didn't do as bad or good in it's historical context. |

"Black PJs" aka Local Force VC. Always have 2+ platoons of AA guns, shoot the crap out of my helos. |
