The TMP header reminded me of the Dambuster's Raid Anniversary, so I offer a salute to the men who participated in that raid, many of whom lost their lives, and to their families and friends. We will never forget.

In addition, Barnes Wallis should be given appropriate recognition as well, for his out of the box thinking, and determination to make his innovative plan and weapons work, despite tremendous odds against him.

A pity the movie remake is still languishing in limbo, but the old black and white one is a decent option for those interested in such stuff.

Hmmmm, shouldn't have an apostrophe in the title.

Sorry John………

"Hmmmm, shouldn't have an apostrophe in the title."

So you are saying we should get rid of the "dam" apostrophe?!?

I echo that salute Mako11 to a band of brave & determined men, heroes all. An audacious plan that was largely successful & a great morale booster just when we needed it.

Incidentally also one of those real-life actions that, if you were to explain it to someone unfamiliar, would sound like something Hollywood made up.

Truth stranger than fiction and all that.
