My newest book is just out! It can be ordered directly from CreateSpace here:
createspace.com/6275971 It will be available from Amazon within a few days. Not quite ready for Kindle yet, but will be soon. The title is Gettysburg and Lee's Escape to Virginia. It begins with 1 July, getting directly into the battle. (The approach campaign was covered in my last book, The Road to Gettysburg.) Then it covers Lee's retreat to the Potomac and escape across it. It also covers the surrender of Vicksburg and Port Hudson, the first part of Morgan's raid across the Ohio River, and the beginning of the Union assault on Morris Island, outside Charleston Harbor. But the emphasis is on Gettysburg and Lee's escape. |
