We would play Epic, 2nd edition and one of our players, who is a tremendous player, would field Imperial Guard. In general, they are cheaper troops, due to a lower morale, but their units are much larger, throw out a lot more firepower, as well as having a much better selection of troop types. The end result is a tremendous amount of artillery and sheer firepower advantage……… To make matters worse, the target restrictions of not being able to target a commander, if another stand is closer really helped them, due to the high number of commisars they had, so in many instances, you could only target a single stand. The end result is, you are wiped out after a single turn, trying to get across the table to get at them. The IGOUGO system, made the game very slow. The system wasn't really thought out, to be fair to all races in the game, so an army like Space Marines, who are good at close combat, would struggle to stay alive, long enough to make it into close combat. The IGOUGO system, made the game very slow Use Activation … each side only "activates" one unit at a time. Use order counters … Like a Chess game … back & forth. The end result is, you are wiped out after a single turn, trying to get across the table to get at them. With SM2 IGOUGO … It takes longer to put the pieces on the table then getting to use them … and taking them off. Again SM2 is the worst iteration on Epic … Try adding Activation … |

I would just like to get some of the exodite dino riders. I don't suppose something like that will come back. |

link I've got a not-inconsiderable selection here, geared mostly towards IG and variants thereof. I feel like Shapeways' pricing definitely hampers sales; if you're looking to buy large numbers of a particular model, let me know and I'll sprue a bunch together and save you a dollar or two per model. |
