What are your impressions and experance of Wayand games?

Huscarle15 May 2016 4:02 a.m. PST

I've bought from Wayland Games at shows, and I've bought online once, and the goods arrived within the week. IMHO they seem to be a professional, and efficient outfit. Why do you ask?

Hi,
Don't buy from Wayland. Their customer service is appalling and they have a habit of displaying things on their webstore listed as in stock which are actually not in stock. If you order any of these items you can wait months for delivery. I ordered a Deep Cut Studios mat from them on the 28th of February. It was listed as being in stock but it wasn't, it was on back order. I'm still waiting on it after 3 months. I phoned Wayland three weeks ago to see if it was likely to arrive and was told it should arrive within 2 weeks. It didn't so I phoned again on Friday to be told it was in a shipment due in on Monday and to be despatched this week. I'm betting this was a lie and it won't arrive this week either. If it doesn't I'm cancelling the order and asking for a refund as my patience has run out.
If you do an on line search for Wayland Games customer service or satisfaction you'll find loads of similar stories to mine.
When I told my friends in my wargames club about my experience with Wayland they said I shouldn't have bought from them and none of them would touch Wayland with a 10 foot pole.

Only bought from them once on ebay and it went fine, quick delivery and item just as it should have been.

Every time I have had dealings with them, I have been fine…

I've only had good experiences.

Huscarle I ordered some paint at the beginning of this month and still haven`t arrived. Not a good first impression.

Bong67, thanks seems that is a common thing with many retailers. ordered some metal heads a 1 figure all listed in stock took ages, then the guy said they had to be cast smelled was a lie straight away. This order was not Wayland.Perhaps the amount listed gives it away they can`t possibly hold all that product.

I've heard mainly bad things about their mail order service, so I haven't tried.

When they're at Salute, I will buy from them. Sometimes they're billed to appear at other shows but a few times they haven't shown up.

I've bought from them twice. The first time my experience was like some others have had and I had to wait ages, and that was because some items which were listed as being in stock weren't.It might have been my fault partly as I was after some FoW stuff that had only just been released and I guess Battlefront had done their bit to throw a spanner in the works as well by announcing stuff before it was in stock. Despite this I ordered again from them sometime later, and that order arrived very quickly.

Hi, I've have ordered a number of things through wayland at a 20% discount. It normally takes 3 weeks to arrive but for 20% discount I can be patient. However my last order is 2 months old and only partially dispatched. So my question is, is there anywhere else that offers a 20% discount on such a wide range of products ? If there is I'll use them in the future.
