Hello:

Does anyone know how do Victory Force Miniatures compare with Warlords Bolt Action miniatures size-wise?

Thank you!

Disco Joe13 May 2016 12:45 p.m. PST

Victory Force Miniaiatures are much larger.

Agreed. VFM doesn't really mix well with any other line. Try Artizan, Crusader and Black Tree instead.

Thanks for the info, Disco Joe. Haywire, that was spot on!

I have some Black Tree; you really have to look carefully at them to see if the ones you want are a good sculpt.

I have used a couple of the VFM mixed with Artizan, Crusader and the newer Bolt Action sculpts. It just looks like there is a couple of big guys in the squad or platoon.

The Black Tree US Infantry, all the Germans and Russian models are excellent sculpts. Those are the ones I have. I have heard the US Paratroopers are not that good and I have never seen their Italians in person.

As Fanatik stated Artizan and Crusader will also match up well but the figures are a bit more robust. Regardless my American Infantry I am painting up right now is a mix of Black Tree, Artizan and Crusader and they all look good together. I've placed them beside the Warlord German plastics I am painting and I do not see a problem using them on the same table.

I agree with those who say that the victory force figures are more robust but not really "much larger."

For my purposes VF makes a fantastic set of hands with weapons in them. I have done hundreds of conversions Using just about every line of 28 mm figures out there. Sometimes the hands are a tad big but most the time not really noticeable.

Somewhere around their site is a picture of the various hands available and I can never find it when I need it. Since I already have all the examples I know what they look like, but others might like to see it I wish it was more prominent. With victory force weapons and Woodbine heads a person can pretty much make anything he wants.

All VF figures get a +1 in melee. Size matters.
