"This year's Victory Day Parade in Moscow apparently attracted considerable media attention in no small part due to the crisp and stylish uniforms of its female participants. But were their parade attires that different from those worn by servicewomen of other nations' militaries? Browse this gallery and find out."

What is it about women in tight uniform skirts goose-stepping like Nazis that's so appealing anyway? |

Oh, dear me… HEY HEY HEY! ¡Miren las Mexicanas! Man, I'm really diggin' the wacky eye makeup. It's like they're New Wave Paratroopers or somethin'. Maybe they sing Mecano songs on the way down? …ehhh, but Mecano were Spanish. That doesn't work. BUT IT WORKS FOR ME! |

I confess to being curious about the crossbow in one of the pictures… |

Given the scope on it, that must be one mighty crossbow. It does make one wonder about the Armenian military. And the North Korean picture made me think about the pictures I've seen of the Rockettes. |

During the Cold War all I ever saw on TV was "babushkas(sp?) sweeping the street. Now we see all these very attractive women. Propaganda was hot and heavy on both sides. The Iranian police women are certainly illustrative of the certifiable crazies running that country. |

since it was the first time we had women on Red Square parade, the unit and its uniform was a popular topic on the net. Some people have pointed that the uniform looked a lot like PLA uniform (well, they have a point) More army women here…Venesuelan girls look especially dangerous with all these launchers ;) link |

The 'Goose-Stepping Gay Spanish Admiral With Wellies' look is frankly ridiculous. |

The 'Goose-Stepping Gay Spanish Admiral With Wellies' look is frankly ridiculous. ------------------- they are not wellies off course but boots – maybe you have not been to Ukraine/Russia but ladies from that part of the world loves boots of all lengths. As to the rest of the uniform – again Russian women do like short skirts and probably carry them off better than most British women. Personally I like a female adapted uniform rather than the rather ugly way that many Western armies have their female personnel basically wearing male uniform – women look esp ridiculous in male style peaked caps. Russian troops of course goose step on parade whether male or female |

Well sort of on topic … kind'a … but I can't stop mentioning what I just heard on CNN/FOX. Anyway Iran has stated that Kim Kardasian [don't know how to spell that ?], is a US spy or being used by the US. To corrupt, tempt, etc., their youth with all her provocative pictures, statements, etc., … Yeah … these are the guys we just gave a "sweet heart" nuc deal. They are very in wedded to "modernity" … if this was the 15th Century. Yeah … right … I want these forward looking thinkers having a nuc program … for peaceful purposes of course. In their "defense"(?) they are "theocracy" … So even the thought of a female in a string Bikini must be considered blasphemy, I'd suspect. How quaint … I say the US should make Kim our Ambassador to Iran, immediately. |

How quaint … --------------- having said that and as a Christian myself, I have read of people in your country complaining about scantily clad young lady distracting them (oh yes its the womens fault) and the honor codes of some of your colleges would not be too out of place in Iran (or 17th century New England) |

You won't get an argument from me, there still are some with "strong" "Religious" or otherwise "convictions ?" in the US. And some of the Colleges and Universities here are doing some really "Odd" stuff. Don't get me started ! But no one here has said, Kim was an "agent" of the US government. Maybe an "Agent of Satan". But Iran calls the US – The Great Satan … so there is that … But on another point about US colleges .. many are pretty "liberal" when it comes to being "puritanical" … |
