These weeks when sales are half what I'd make working part time flipping burgers are just not making ends meet. I just scraped through last month and this one just bottomed out again.

Who set the CD player on repeat play when "if it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all" was playing????

I have plenty of room to store this stuff, but no money to pay bills so please send reasonable offers with this in mind.

I'm a bit confused by your auctions. They are all "buy it now" with prices set. They don't have the "best price" option. Yet you say "…please send reasonable offers…." Are you wanting TMP readers to contact you directly with offers if they feel your buy it now price is too high?

napthyme08 May 2016 2:46 p.m. PST

Ebay takes such a chunk out of the selling price that I can't afford to discount them any further selling through them.

So yes, you need to contact me here or via e-mail with what your interested in. with 2,400+ SKU's the ebay store makes a convenient searchable database of what I have available and stock levels.

I turned best offer off years ago as all I was getting was "I'll give you a $1.00 USD if you really want to sell that" on items priced at $100 USD+, got to be to much for my blood pressure to stand.

Dude, you gotta work on your sales pitch – nobody goes for 'look @ how pathetic I am' – well almost nobody

napthyme08 May 2016 4:08 p.m. PST

#dsfrank…. At this point I really don't care what people think of me anymore. Everything in my life seems to be being taken away, so what difference does it make what people on the internet think of me?????

I don't suppose you're anywhere near a good sized upcoming convention, are you? You could pack as much of this as would fit in your car, and try to sell it at the local equivalent of a bring and buy.

I've looked numerous times for historical figures, but everything your selling seems to be fantasy?

leidang09 May 2016 10:11 a.m. PST

Can you put together a list of the dark future motorcycles, riders, and gunners that you have. I keep miscounting going through the listings (Plus I'm at work). If you can put together the list for me I'll make you an offer on them.

Thanks, Jeff

@Grelber I am in Iowa which is pretty much a deadzone for hobby shops. We have 99 counties and maybe 30 shops if you include comic shops. No college = no market here.

Also would take a semi to haul everything, I don't drive, and I would have to hire a crew just to pack it and set it up and then put whatever did not sell back.

@wrgmr1 I seldom find the historical's on sale anywhere and the sources that I have are extremely limited in what they do carry for that category. Maybe 3 manufacturers at best.

@leidang that is a huge list for sure.

I suggest that you slash drastically the asking prices in your store.
Forget what you paid originally. Retail price is not working for you and you need the cash immediately.

napthyme17 May 2016 2:50 p.m. PST

Winston (john) if that plan had worked I would not be here liquidating stuff now would I?

Mikasa26 May 2016 12:06 a.m. PST

This is certainly one of the longest liquidation sales I've seen, to be honest it feels more like one of those furniture companies that have a constant 'going out of business sale' to the poit where they change their name and start going out of business again.

Looking through your stock Napthyme, I can immediately see what the problem is. You're selling lots of niche premium items but at premium prices, especially the cards.

Going out of business is not a long term, break even venture, it's about getting what you can for your stock and starting again….or not. What you have is a failing business that seems sustainable for however long you're prepared to take the pain.
If you were seriously going out of business you'd relist everything at 99cents and go with it.

Oh Bugger01 Jun 2016 7:40 a.m. PST

Yeah if you want to recover some dead money cut your prices by 50% and if that does not work cut by 75%. Even recovering 25% is better than 0%.

BTW you are not selling anything of interest to me so its disinterested advice.

Your Kidding23 Sep 2016 5:30 a.m. PST

Like the selection. Any heavy gear folks will like what they see.
