"The AMX is a ground-attack aircraft for battlefield interdiction, close air support and reconnaissance missions. It was built until 1999 by AMX International, an Italian-Brazilian joint venture, and is designated the A-1 by the Brazilian Air Force. The AMX is capable of operating at high subsonic speed and low altitude, by day or night, and if necessary, from bases with poorly equipped or damaged runways…" 1/48

So, more-or-less a modern Scooter. I like it; wish Western air forces would opt for platforms like this over expensive, gold-plated birds like the F-35 and Typhoon. |

SP, Why would you want us to have third world levels of capability? We could employ our fleet of Hawk T1s in the close air support role if we wanted to, but we don't… Why do you think that is? |
